Granero press conference

Esteban Granero discussed Real Madrid’s midweek match against Getafe and the keys to victory during Monday’s player press conference.

"We are in the best form we have been in all season"

Run in:

On Saturday we learned a lot about what we need to do heading into the future. There was a lot of constructive criticism and plenty of notes that will help us improve. All we are doing now is thinking about our next match. We cannot lose or else we will fall off the track. We have learned that we cannot get ahead of ourselves. We will begin thinking about Atletico  on Thursday night once the match concludes, and once the derby is over we will begin preparing for the Clasico.

La Liga:

This is a very competitive league between the top two teams. We have lost very few points and we would sit comfortably top any other league right now. We are the leaders and we control our own destiny. We will remain calm as long as we continue winning.

Real Madrid:

We continue improving and are in the best form we have been in all season. All this means is that we’re on an upward track.
