Jerzey Dudek is currently in playing his third season at Real Madrid. The keeper knows the team can’t afford any mistakes in the Copa del Rey and says he will give his all if he plays.

Jerzy Dudek (10)

This is my third season at Real Madrid and I am always excited about the Copa del Rey because I may take part in its games. I like the championship very much and I’ll give my all to win if I get the chance to play.

The Cup is a different and beautiful competition. I hope we win it this year. Real Madrid have failed to win the title for a long time because it isn’t easy. You can lose five games in La Liga and still win the trophy, but you can’t do that in the Copa del Rey.

We have a very offensive mentality in the league, but we will have to pay special attention to defending in the Cup.

Zinedine Zidane has instructed Real Madrid to sign midfield starlet Sega Keita, according to reports. The 17-year-old Senegalese-born playmaker made his Ligue 1 debut for club Troyes in May having impressed for the French side’s reserves. And having already been called up by the French U18 team, scouts of several high-profile European outfits have been notified about the teenage talent.

Both Arsenal and AC Milan are believed to be monitoring the progress of the youngster with a view to adding him to their youth ranks in the not-too-distant future. But, according to Goal.com, Zidane has instructed Real to steal a march on their rivals and lure Keita to Spain. Keita recently signed a professional contract with Troyes until 2012.

Reports in Spain claim Barcelona, Sevilla and Real Madrid are keen on Racing Santander starlet Sergio Canales. The 18-year-old broke into the first-team set-up at Racing last season and is regarded as a hot prospect for the future.

He has figured once again in the Primera Liga this term, with his creative abilities in the middle of the park having already caught the eye across Europe. Premier League giants Chelsea were reported to have made an approach for his services in 2007, only for Racing to give the Blues short shrift.

Canales is, however, set to be out of contract in the summer and will be free to talk to interested parties from January. Any move could be complicated by the fact that Deportivo La Coruna hold a 50 per cent stake in his contract, with the men from the Riazor yet to make their intentions known.

The likes of Barca and Real are, however, waiting in the wings to see how the situation unfolds, with the Spanish U18 international likely to cause a mad rush for his signature should he opt to move on at the end of the current campaign.

Iker Casillas won the award for best goalkeeper as Barca cllected all but two of the Primera Liga awards. Veteran Deportivo La Coruna midfielder Juan Valeron collected the Fair Play Award for the Primera Liga while newly promoted Tenerife dominated the awards for the Segunda Division.

The full list of awards was as follows:
