¿Dónde está la verdadera, José María Gutiérrez?
(Title translated as: Where is the real José María Gutiérrez?)
Hola,
We are on a hot streak in La Liga. We haven’t lost in the league since that dreadful night against the Cules (though there was the major setback against Liverpool in the Champions League showing us our true colors and the strength of our squad, proving to us that the Primera Liga is having its own recession period with its quality down in the gutter). But still we are 6 points behind them though we do have faint hopes of a mira-cules fuck up which sees us clinching #32. But then again Barcelona seems to be the only competitive team in the league. Everyone else seems to be willing to let the two of us battle it out at the top while they form a separate league of their own which seems to be as good as the second division of the English League or even the Eridivisie.
But we have gone through most of the games in that streak without one big name. A man who at times has turned games singlehandedly for us, be it his killer passes cutting channels or play making capabilities.

José María Gutiérrez 'Guti' (Background)
Guti has been kept out of the team now and again, most of the times stating injury as a reason. But last week against Almeria he was blatantly kept out of the team despite being fit but this time what Juande has to say is that he thought the other players could do a better job.
Guti was not called up because I decided not to do that. For that game, I felt other players would be better. My job is to choose the best team. Each player has a different character, but they must all be treated equally. Players are left out and they are included. I have not finished with anyone.
I am a big fan of Guti myself. I think he adds the class to Real Madrid. On his day he can rip any defense apart. But since the last time I saw him play my respect for him has come down big time. He is walking around in the pitch when everyone else had been working their arse out. He does not track back when he loses the ball, something which Raul Himself does. And all that affects the team on the whole. I do not blame Juande for dropping him but I blame Guti for getting into a situation in which he, despite being the second captain, is being dropped from not only the starting XI but the squad itself.
I am hoping we are not looking at yet another Beckham. I hope Guti stays with Real Madrid for life.
Para Siempre Blanco!
Hala Madrid!!
