Our early results were minimal, but they have grown a lot. Other than the Barcelona match, which we had no time to prepare for, we have won by more than one goal in every road match. Marcelo always trained as a winger. He’s got what it takes to alternate to an attacking midfielder. The team was allowing many goals and the defense wasn’t very sure of itself. That is why we moved him up. The Sporting Department deserves the credit for the signings. We believed Lass was an important player and both he and Huntelaar are doing incredible jobs. Playing for Real Madrid is a tremendous reward. I didn’t think twice when Real Madrid called me. I don’t regret the decision. I am proud of it. I never imagined being here when I first began my career as coach. Winning a title at Wembley with Tottenham against Chelsea was incredible. The role of the coach of Real Madrid is very important, but I handle business here the same way I did with Sevilla, Malaga and Rayo Vallecano.
