Huntelaar to AS & Marca
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has scored six goals in ten games, and two of them helped in Real Madrid’s impressive 5-2 victory in Bilbao. The Dutch striker told AS and Marca that he believes the team can win every game if it plays as it did on Saturday.

I am very happy, especially because the team won. It was a very important game and we proved we will fight hard for the title.
The first goal I scored against Sporting made me more confident and I now feel fine. I’ve adapted to the team very quickly and, luckily, I’m scoring goals. I’ve never been obsessed by it, but I am naturally happier when I score.
It was incredible to play at San Mames. People on the stands were true fans. Everyone supported Athletic and you could feel that on the pitch. It was wonderful. It was a tough game; we had to fight hard.
I’m not used to playing with my back to the goal. I prefer to face it as much as possible, look for openings and ask for the ball, but I also know how to bring the ball down if required.
It’s paramount for us to play as a real team. We were strong in Bilbao because of this. I play for my team, not for myself, and we will be able to win the 11 games that are left if we continue to play like a proper team.
I feel great at Real Madrid. I am a little happier every day for living here and playing at the best club in the world, even if the last few days have been a little rough on all of us.
It is our duty to win at Real Madrid. We knew we couldn’t afford to fail after the Liverpool defeat. The league is the only competition left for us this year and we will have to do our best to win the title.
