How was the match against Real Madrid Castilla?
It was good; very competitive. We were all anxious to play. Real Madrid Castilla played tough.

What’s it been like being a member of the first team?
Great. It’s always an important step for an academy player, and it’s not impossible. Playing for Real Madrid is the greatest thing that can happen to you. I was injured when I first got here, but I am ready to give 100% to the team. You can never say ‘no’ to Real Madrid.

Do you see yourself playing in the Bernabeu?
I am going to fight for it. We all like to play, especially in the Bernabeu. It would be incredible.

How did you feel about Schuster leaving and Juande stepping in?
The team reacted well. We are winning matches and morale is through the roof.

What can you bring to the table?
Everything I can as a footballer and a person.

It must be frustrating when you keep winning and can’t cut into Barcelona’s lead…
Barcelona are in great form, but we won’t give up. We’ll fight until the end; it’s what Real Madrid is known for. We will always have a chance to catch them as long as we keep winning.

Have Liverpool changed much since the end of the year and now?
They were playing better than they are now. They are one of the best teams in Europe, and it’s going to make for a great tie. I hope we make it to the quarterfinals.
