Hala Madrid!!

Para siempre blanco!

And all of a sudden we are being linked with everyone! Well, almost everyone!

It all started with Ezequiel Garay. And then Ruben de la Red and Javi Garcia were recalled to the from their loan spells. As we failed to get Cristiano Ronaldo we went for our next best option in Rafael van der Vaart. Everyone except Robinho was happy with the happenings. Our president was so confident that he even said that we were not going to buy anyone else. It was then that Robnho decided to leave. And all of a sudden we are being linked with everyone! Well, almost everyone!

Let me start off with Robinho, the man about I wouldn’t be able to talk any more about, the man who has decided that he has been a man long enough and has decided to join the cunts in blue in Chelski (a team which seemed to have shrivened the former Barca man Deco of all his Barca-istic sins and made him back to the great player that he was) who surprisingly have been playing not so dirty off late. So much for all the expectations that we as fans had on him. Anyhoo, I’d like to thank Robinho for his services that he did for over the three seasons when he was here. He has been absolutely fantastic at times and especially throughout last season he mesmerized most of the Madridismo and made us happy with his cheeky style of play and his thumb-sucking. I hope he goes to Chelski and they rot in hell.

Coming back to the crux of the matter, according to the Telegraph and Daily Mail, Robinho is apparently 48 hours away from sealing the move to Chelsea. It will get us a much needed 40m euros which would’ve been almost nothing if he had been made to use his buy out clause or if the courts had decided the fee he would have had to pay us in case he wanted to terminate his contract. His agent, the cunt of cunts, Wagner ‘I-wag-like-a-cunt’ Ribeiro while speaking to the Daily Mirror said that Robinho will complete a switch to Chelsea which means that it will be just the 40m euros most probably.

The deal is about to be reached. Robinho’s cycle in Spain has come to an end and he is looking forward to a new project.

Fuck his cycle I’d say! Bernd Schuster too has been speaking about the same. He wants Robinho to stay. Well, I too want him to stay, but when he himself doesn’t want to stay it really doesn’t matter as to who wants him to stay and who doesn’t want him to stay. Well that’s about it for Robinho and like I already said I wish him all the very best for all his future endeavors. Period.

The departure of Robinho means that our squad has one player less now and not any other player, one world class player less. This definitely also means that we will definitely be making one or two more possibly and hopefully big name signings before the end of the transfer window which isn’t far off. Moreover the league is about to begin as well.

The first and the biggest name that has been linked with us is David Villa. The ace Spaniard is currently still playing for Valencia and like Wagner Ribeiro earlier revealed after Ronaldo and Van der Vaart he was on top of the priority list. Real Madrid Talk says that Valencia apparently rejected a 48m euros bid for the striker and that we have now improved the bid to 52m euros which should most probably suffice them. As much as any other Madridista I too want to see Villa wear white. The Telegraph too says that we have made a last ditch bid for David Villa. What a signing that would be!?!

It also mentions that we are interested in young Santi Cazorla from Villareal. The winger is so intrested in moving to Madrid that he has already pakced up his boots, his Euro medal and his Zidane-autographed football and is just waiting for the flight ticket to arrive.

The Spanish international midfielder has been linked with a switch to the Bernabeu with Marca stating that the club are ready to match his 16million euros (£12.7m) buy-out clause. That has yet to be confirmed, but Cazorla has taken the unusual step of revealing his emotions to reporters when asked whether or not he would be tempted to join Madrid. Also, he has already started dreaming about playing alongside David Villa in white.

They (Real Madrid) are the best team in Spain and the truth is that it would be very difficult to say no to. I am still in a state of shock. If Madrid came in and paid my buy-out clause fee then that would be a great moment for me. I do not know at the moment if they are going to do that or not, but I imagine we will find out in the next few days.

I hope that I can play alongside Villa as he is a great friend, but I have not spoken to him and I do not know what his situation is.

This (Villareal) has always been my club and they have given me everything, but if Madrid’s interest in me is true then we will have to see what happens.

Oh god! This kid is so much like me! I really hope we fulfill his dreams. I must also admit that I wasn’t a great fan of him before the European Championships, but I must tell you that he has impressed me ever since. Also, his goal against Barca at the Madrigal was stunning enough for me to support this move.

Our next signing would most possibly be a 17-year old defender from River Plate named Mateo Musacchio (in the above picture). He is considered to be the next big thing in South America just like anyone else there but it seems that we are the top-runners in getting his signature. Like our previous trans-Atlantic signings in Gago and Higuain, I hope this kid too becomes a star in white soon. River’s director Hector Grinberg has confirmed Real are leading the chase for the promising defender, although he is reluctant to divulge details until the contracts are signed.

The kid wants to play in Europe and Real Madrid is the best offer, but we do not want to reveal any more details until the end of the negotiations.

According to Real Madrid Galacticos, Real Madrid are eying the Benfica sensation Angel di Maria. Real apparently have had scouts following the Argentine dazzler during the Beijing Olympics and his form has convinced them to move for the winger.

Madrid is extraordinary, a magnificent club. Of course, it’s great to hear my name linked with them! They should talk with Benfica.

Ajax coach Marco van Basten says that he is not worried about losing Klaas-Jan Huntelaar before the close of the transfer window. The Dutch striker has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid with reports claiming the Spanish champions are ready to make a £20million offer. But Van Basten is confident the player is happy at Ajax and does not want a repeat of 12 months ago when Wesley Sneijder left the club for Real just days before the transfer window closed. So I guess I’ll have to settle for David Villa! So much for my dreams! Hmph!

We are also being linked to Sevilla and now a Spanish international in Diego Capel according to realmadrid.dk. But I haven’t come across anything else about it, so I’ve decided to keep shut about it.

In other news, Sergio Ramos wants a contract extension. I am not surprised at all. I will just pay him whatever he wants to keep him at the club.

The 2008 Santiago Bernabéu Trophy is set to take place on 27 August. Each year, this match gathers Madridistas of all generations together to honour the memory of Don Santiago. The Santiago Bernabéu Trophy, which honours the man who was a player, Technical Secretary, coach and President at Real Madrid, turns 30 this year. Sporting Lisboa will be Real Madrid’s opponent this time in the championship. Real Madrid have won the Trophy 18 times, the last in December 2007 by defeating Partizan 2-0. Bayern Munich follow in the ranking with three victories, while Milan and Inter Milan have two each.

That is about it for this time. There was another article on our homepage about Arjen Robben: Madridismo’s new icon. It was a good read. You can check it out here. My next post will mostly be a preview of the Santiago Bernabeu Trophy unless and until something really shocking happens like Robinho snubbing Chelsea in the last minute and the Villa bid is accepted you shant find anything else here.

So until tomorrow,

Hala Madrid!!

  1. Do you got anything else on the transfer of Mateo Musacchio? And what do you think about Real Madrids interest in Di Maria?

  2. As of now I can tell you that there has been no further improvements on both the transfer speculations and till January we can expect the same situation to last. :(
