He has spoken but the tale continues

Hola!

Ever since I posted the bunch of crap that I read online yesterday, I have been the most irritated blogger living on Earth. I desperately wanted to lay my hands on something that is for real, something that is believable and something more importantly that is authentic. Despite my efforts all that I could manage was more rather more true stuff about Cristiano “The Dreamer” Ronaldo.

The Portuguese ace who had initially remained coy over his future plans helped the likes of Marca and other junkies to start spreading all possible rumours relating himself with a record breaking, glass shattering, out of the norm transfer to the Bernabeu. SAF who was furious, blasted us and our policies publicly comparing us with other European clubs especially Barcelona saying that Barca had more moral values than Real. And after realizing that Ronaldo himself was confused said that he was aware of the Ronaldo task and continued to say how important it is to keep winning so as to keep Ronaldo in Manchester at least for the next two years or so. Our President, after hearing about the blasting from Sir Alex, was clearly baffled and said that he couldn’t understand Ferguson. In the same interview he was also quoted saying…

We have always said that he is a player who has a contract and that Manchester United is not a selling club. That’s everything.

After all this confusion finally Ronaldo spoke out saying he was happy at United. When I thought the Real-Ronaldo Saga ended there I found this amongst the various other things that he had said…

…my head is in Manchester because it is the club that, at the moment, puts me in the best condition and that I’m happy at.

The key phrase here is ‘at the moment’. A phrase that would stir off a string of rumors speculating that Ronaldo wants to move to Madrid misleading everyone including the two clubs involved. Why the hell did he have to say at the moment?!? He could have just said…

I swear to God that I will stay in Manchester United for two more seasons at least. And then it’ll be the time to fulfill my dream.

This is something which I think cannot be played around with. Or what he could’ve was to have said something like what Eric Cantona did after kicking a fan’s head off his neck with a Kung Fu maneuver. Anything other than statements like ‘At this moment all I want to wear is Red’ or ‘who knows what the future holds’ or ‘I repeat I’ve always wanted to play in Spain’ or ‘I’m happy now but only God knows what is going to happen’ would definitely help the cause.

Anyhoo, he didn’t make any such statements and the tale continues. So I guess it’s high time I start talking about other stuff relating to Real Madrid C.F (which it no longer might be) over here. Ezequiel Garay has spoken out for the first time after his switch to Los Blancos in which he has made it clear to everyone including the fools in Marca that he is ready to stay at Racing on loan. And about his move to Real he said..

I am the happiest man in the world, signing for such a big club is a dream come true for every hard-working player.

Also, ex-Madridista in Alvaro Negredo has drawn the attention of several Premier League clubs after his sensational season with Almeria. Reports suggest that Real have a buy out clause on Negredo using which the club can make a profit of at least 8m euros. Personally I would like to see him play in white next season though it isn’t likely to happen.

Adrian Gonzalez, son of Bernabeu legend Michel, has completed his switch to Getafe after a loan spell with them. He says it’s due to lack of first team opportunities that he moved but because of his family being in Madrid he had to switch to a club based near Madrid. He also said that he didn’t blame the lack of opportunities as Madrid have a quality squad and it was tough to break through.

Meanwhile this is the last week of training in Madrid. The Madridistas participating in Euro 2008 have left to train with their national squad. I would like to wish them a successful and more importantly a safe tournament.

And before I forget again, I totally forgot to blog the fact that Iker won the Zamora Trophy. Hail St.Iker!

Hala Madrid!!
